Joffrey's X For The People Food Plot

At Joffrey’s, giving back is at the heart of what we do. Whether it’s through our Giving Back coffee offerings like Wish Maker’s Blend (benefitting Make-A-Wish Southern Florida) or Valor Blend (benefitting Folds of Honor), it’s important to us to give back to causes we believe in.

Most recently, we have been working with For The People Food Plot (https://www.instagram.com/forthepeople.foodplot/). For The People (FTP) Food Plot is based on the principle that human life is inherently valued, and that the basic necessities of life should be provided. This includes nutritious food that is grown locally using regenerative methods that enhance and protect a community’s natural resources. FTP aims to provide this to the neighborhood of VM Ybor by distributing freshly grown vegetables and fruits while also providing a community space to share gardening resources and education.

Every week since February 17^th 2025, Joffrey’s has been donating 2 days of production of Burlap and Chaff per week to the food plot. This averages to about 300 pounds of Chaff and 115 bags of Burlap being donated per week. The Chaff is incorporated into the soil to add nitrogen, while the burlap is also added into the soil for weed growth prevention. So far, Joffrey’s has donated 4,800 pounds of Chaff and 1,600 bags of Burlap.
